Not so much depressing in my opinion

and the reason i say so is because there are too many, what sounds to me, major scale progressions in the bells.

The pads you used gave a depressing feeling at first, but when the bells came in with the additional synth coming to its side, the major scale used gave it more of a feeling of realization. An epiphoney if you will (if i even spelled that right lol).

There was definately a sadness to this piece, true enough, but not to the point to where it was depressing.

In fact i found this one to be quite the opposite, i find it to be invigorating. The bells to me are trying to say "What was done is done, you must look up and move on, and repent for your mistakes."

Again, this song is unlike most I hear, but that speaks well for your originalty, AND diversity in my opinion.

Another great piece of work,
and another 5 from me, in a small attempt to get this the respect it deserves.

(Some people might look down on this, but do not ever let that stop you. This track as well as the Shootout one i just reviewed, shows me you are quite the capable musician. Everyone has their strenghts and weaknesses, and this style of music happens to be your strong suit. Keep it up!)

Oh, I almost forgot, i never left any constructive criticism >:( i shall correct this!

The bells in my opinion were a bit loud, but only by just a wee bit. Had you've turned them down just a hair, i would not have any complaints about this song other than the fact that its too short!

Keep it up.

hey thanks for the reply, I didnt realize how powerful the song is or how much potential it had. I pretty much was in a sad mood, trying to find sounds to explain it. thanks for the criticism, I enjoy all i can get.

sweet XD

I always wondered what industrial sounded like...i was just too lazy t oever go to the industrial page and sift through the bad stuff to get to the good stuff....

This was just all sorts of short cuts for me XD
Lol.

Anyway, I really liked the song XD

News Update: I've been working on songs recently, but too lazy to actually post them, so in a month or two, I actually might release something.

as i have said before,

I respect you are your music the most on this site, bar-none. This piece, is a testament to your insane skills, and beautiful imagination.

I simply cannot express how moved I was by this song.

That singer, is simply amazing, she has one of the most angelic sounding voices I have heard in quite some time. She really is gonna be someone someday, and ur gonna be able to say "lol i knew her when she was getting started XD"

I R JEALOUS simply because of the fact you have such a beautiful cathedral organ. Lol I've been trying to find one since I started getting into classical music, but still to no avail.

I want to say this has a bit of gothic feel to it, but thats probably just because everytime I hear the organ, im reminded of the beautiful Baroque(sp?)Style Cathedrals that are most commonly mistaken for Gothic Architecture.

uh oh....i think i feel a story coming...

the scene cuts in just as our hero has fallen to the ground.

Suddenly he is realizing that he, in fact, is NOT unstoppable, and all his faults that he blindly ingnored are starting to take form right in front of him. We see him rushing frantically into a huge mansion going up fligts and flights of stares and finally gets to the desired room.

As the song gets soft again, we see him staring into a mirror with a look of utter disgust, as he reflects on everything he has done in the past, in a new light, a very disturbing one at that.

As we hear the song finishing, he realizes a change is needed in order for anything good to come out of all that he worked so hard to achieve.
This warroir of the night(and if you say batman i will have to slap you im afaid :\), had once fought for the oppressed, but as his skills grew so did his ego. Eventually his view of what justice was became distorted, and the battles he fought became more and more for the wrong reason.
But since the loss of his most recent fight, he realized he needed to return to who he once was, and had only one person to thank for showing him the way; the man who defeated him almost effortlessly, and broke him in two like a twig.......his very own father.

Very very beautiful song Meastro!!!
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LP

MaestroRage responds:

oh SNAP! *no pun intended*, his father... One would wonder what the father is doing with so much power on his shoulders. Does he scour the city defending what he feels is right? Why did the son have to fight the father? In one of his skewed visions of justice did the son feel he had to destroy his father?

So many questions, with so much possibility behind this story, it is most interesting.

Thank you for the story Languid, it was quite enjoyable! Thanks again for the review, i'm glad you liked it ^^.

PS. I do agree with you, she has a wonderful voice! I hope to make more works with her.

i wish i could write you an elaborate review..

But this piece has left me absolutely breathless.

If we had more time I would have loved to learn from you, but in a world where time is restricted it sadly cant be so :( I would like to know however, just exactly did you use for this Insanely beautiful track??!

*dear god this is beautiful....*

MaestroRage responds:

If only we could all live in a world where only our interests were the things we would spend our time on, but like you said, life does not bring you a cup of sugar without a pint of salt on the side. For whats it's worth i'm always ready to help you should you want it!

Thank you for the review Languid, i'm glad you liked it ^^.

Yet again

I stumble across an astonishing piece!!!!

I once again notice your mixture of choirs, and again I am impressed with what you have pulled off with those XD

That flute, that flute is beautiful? What kind of flute is that?? As you have said before, strings are your favorite instrument, and it clearly shows in the piece!

I love the diversity of your pieces!!! make mine look like jokes lol. I shall keep a close eye on you, your are one HELL of a musician XD

LP

*ps, i now have a classical piece out...called Home-Grown Sunsets, It would mean bunches if you stopped by and checked it out XD*

MaestroRage responds:

Choirs are awesome tools too, and this one took mixing 4 of them to get the sound I liked. Synth choirs, by themselves are often lacking, but shoving a bunch together will generally give you something acceptable.

That flute is the Dizi flute, of oriental nature. I was going to use a Erhu violin with it, but the two sound astonishingly similar XD.

Your pieces arn't jokes, I quite admire them, you have potential, just keep pushing until things start falling into place! It's pretty much what I did.

I've checked out and reviewed your works, keep them coming Languid ;). Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Loved the beat

This song had great flow to it :)

I loved the piano you had playing in there, I felt that was a great touch XD

Nothin really bad to be said about this track,
Its pretty sweet XD

LP

MattBlade responds:

I was so tired when i made this, but this morning i couldnt help noticing how much the snare sounded like i ripped it off of cajete's.....well what can i say it definately favorite part of the song was the snare.

This was great!

At first, I wasn't too fond of the delay setting you had on the piano, but once I let the song continue to play, I quickly changed my mind XD

Very interesting choice of instruments you have going on here, although in some places I must admit I found some a bit too loud and overpowering of each other.

One part that stands out to me would be the part with the French Horn/trombone *lol I cant really tell which it is*

Love the strings, really nice flow to them. I noticed you had a mixture of different choirs going on at once, and I liked the effect it pulled off very much XD

Hope to hear more greatness...*browses through your page* bwahaha, you have some great stuff!

LP

MaestroRage responds:

Yeah, during the making of this song I sometimes lost control and just SLAMMED an instrument in there, screaming it to take command!

Maybe too much so ;).

The french horn was one of those parts, I wanted to find an instrument that would take control of that part and immediately lead the song in another direction, a more bitter, angered segment.

The strings are my favorite instrument, I don't think i've EVER made a song without them X'O. I'm totally a slave to them :(.

In any case i'm glad you liked the piece, it is one that held great interest to me, thank you for the review ^^.
